Rob Garza and Eric Hilton got together in 1995 and their mutual love for club music had them experimenting with a variety of music – from jazz, to trip hop, bossa nova, electronica, and tons more. Thievery Corporation released their debut album Sounds From The Thievery Hi-Fi in 1996 and made a breakthrough into Billboard’s Dance chart. In 2002, the duo released the Richest Man in Babylon, which soared to number 2 on the Dance chart and entered the Billboard 200. Thievery Corporation released several more incredible and innovative works including the chart topping efforts The Cosmic Game and Radio Retaliation.
