The Orange Peel
Texas’ biggest singer/songwriter, and legendary Texas troubadour Robert Earl Keen will appear in Asheville as part of his 2026 Spring Limited Run Tour on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at The Orange Peel. Keen will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of his critically acclaimed Grammy nominated masterpiece Gravitational Forces, an album of mammoth scope that resists description, but guarantees a wow factor.
He'll be performing a few of your favorite tunes, including “The Road Goes On Forever” and “Merry Christmas from the Family” at the 1,050-seat Ryman Auditorium. Best acoustics in the country, or so they say. Plus, he'll share the stage with the up and coming Nashville artist Olivia Wolf. She released her critically acclaimed album Silver Rounds this year.

Robert Earl Keen will be playing a handful of cities on the limited tour celebrating a quarter century of his 1996 masterpiece Gravitational Forces. Some of the cities on the tour include Fischer, Ponte Vedra Beach, Augusta, Charleston, Birmingham and Clarkston. Get ready for a night to remember surrounded by other like-minded fans of authentic, traditional storytelling country music. This is an 18+ event. Please arrive prepared with proper ID.
Robert Earl Keen has been making his own brand of country and Americana music for decades. His songs have become anthems of the Texas country/Americana genre. As a native of Houston, Texas, born in 1956, he has managed over 20 albums of original music that have brought him great acclaim in his field. Songs performed during the concert include “The Road Goes On Forever”, “Merry Christmas from the Family”, “Gringo Honeymoon” and “Feelin’ Good Again”.
Robert Earl Keen’s latest album, Western Chill, was released in 2022. He is the first person in history to be awarded the BMI Troubadour Award in 2015. He also won the New Folk competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1983. He was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame.
As a rising star in the country/folk/bluegrass genre of music, Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Olivia Wolf, relocated from Northern California and is making waves in the music scene with her down-to-earth, radio-friendly sound that captures the warmth and connection she creates with her live audience.

This venue is a smaller room inside the intimate music venue, known for having a great sound and lighting system, which will enhance your live music experience. The main floor of the venue holds around 1,050-1,100 people in a standing room configuration, but you can also reserve a seat for an extra charge. There are two beer bars located on the main level, and a full liquor club in the basement. The venue is non-smoking, but they did add a smoking deck during renovations in 2009.
The downtown location of The Orange Peel provides plenty of convenient choices. On and off street parking is available just across Asheville’s Charlotte St, right outside of The Orange Peel doors.
