Cult favorites Modest Mouse return to The Orange Peel in scenic Asheville, NC, on Saturday, 13th June 2026, to unleash their off-the-wall rock, pop, and experimental sound.
Isaac Brock is a native of the Pacific Northwest. As an underground rock vocalist and songwriter, they crafted one of the most interesting indie bands of an entire era that was able to make it into the mainstream. A lot of the MTV generation kids are going to remember that music video for Float On. That's still the track that's likely to get the most oooh and ahhhs from fans. Yet, the ones who have been following the band from before and every event after that hit are hoping these guys truly open up the setlist to tracks from their entire music library. Modest Mouse shot to fame in the 1990s and have since remained one of the leading and most influential bands in the indie rock world. Hearing a number of intense live recordings from off their 2021 album "The Golden Casket" and a number of their unbeaten hits. This collection includes their hit single "Float On" - their first mainstream recognition - along with other top Modest Mouse hits including "Dashboard" and "Ocean Breathes Salty". Even their newer songs have been incorporated into the studio recordings and feature the band's lead vocalist, Isaac Brock, bringing even more life to the tracks.
The Orange Peel is a close-up show venue. Well-designed and having great acoustics, this venue holds around 1,050 people and gives you the feeling of being up close and personal without sacrificing comfort.
